At this point it is assumed you have found a truly groovy Flickr group to join that allows open membership. On the right in the center of the page are the words "Join this group?". Not really sure why the question mark is there, but if you click the link you go to a page asking if you really want to join. Since you can always leave later, I say go for it.

Now you are ready to share your photos with the group. There are a couple of ways to add your photos. One is to click the link that says Organize on the second row at the top of every page. This method is especially helpful if you have several photos to process. It also requites the Flash plugin to be installed on your computer. If you are using Internet Explorer or Opera you will likely have this plugin already. If you are using the totally excellent Firefox browser, you may have to click on the little green puzzle piece to install the free plugin.
